Pasadena
Pasadena is located 11 miles northeast of Downtown Los Angeles. Pasadena is known for hosting the annual Tournament of Roses Parade. The Rose Bowl stadium is located in Pasadena. It is also home to the UCLA football team, 4th of July fireworks celebrations, concerts, and the world’s largest flea market, Brookside country club, and golf course.
The ArtCenter College of Design, The Pasadena Playhouse, The Norton Simon Museum, The Huntington Library, and Botanical Gardens, and many scientific and cultural institutions, including Caltech, is in Pasadena. JPL (the Jet Propulsion Laboratory) is located in nearby La Cañada Flintridge. Pasadena has come a long way since the folk archetype days of “the little old lady from Pasadena“.
